Anita Willets-Burnham
1922-1923

At Willets-Burnham’s insistence and despite lack of funds, she and her family set out on the First World Trip, traveling to France, Italy, Spain and Algiers to see the world and educate her children by travel, selling paintings to pay their way. While in Paris she studied with American Impressionist Cecelia Beaux and Spanish painter Claudio Castellucho. Willets-Burnham was invited to exhibit at the Paris Spring Salon of 1922.
