Anita Willets-Burnham
1957
Willets-Burnham died at Evanston, IL, following a stroke. A tireless promoter of travel, world peace, woman suffrage and, above all, painting, she influenced countless students, friends and admirers with her love of art and people, and her legendary unwillingness to let any circumstance stand in her way. In the words of Daniel Burnham, she made “no little plans.”
